A Michi-no-Eki BASE in Kyoto's Only Village Where You Can Take a Short Break from Driving to Soothe Your Tired Body
This Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) in "the only village in Kyoto" is visited by many people from morning till night. Here, the main attractions are Uji tea and souvenirs made with Uji tea. The "Mura-cha Pudding" and soft-serve ice cream, which use locally produced matcha, were exquisite. The "Tea Porridge Set Meal" for breakfast was also superb! I was very pleased with such a luxurious experience that let me dine while looking at the tea fields.

The comfort food of Nara, this ramen first graced the streets of Tenri City in 1980 through a food stall. Fondly known as "Ten-Sta" among students, its allure persists till this day, with the stall open well into the night. Hiroshima Sera
A BASE Where You Can Fully Savor Piping Hot Hiroshima Flavors That Won't Disappoint You
Personally, it was the most delicious okonomiyaki I've ever had. I would recommend the "Sera no Megumi-yaki" for 900 yen. The bright red tomatoes harvested in Sera, the aroma of perilla leaves, and the richness of the cheese are a perfect match for this okonomiyaki. It's a must-eat when you come to Sera. Aside from that, there are many other types of okonomiyaki and alcoholic drinks available here.

This is a Chinese restaurant that is famous for its white and black dandan noodles. Its most popular dish is the white sesame dandan noodle soup that is extremely creamy and unbelievably smooth! This restaurant may have a simple, casual atmosphere, but what it lacks in ambience, it certainly makes up for in the taste of its dishes. A BASE to Enjoy Cooking That You Can’t Usually Taste
Located on the approach to Yutoku Inari Shrine, one of Japan’s three major Inari shrines, you can eat the local specialty koi-no-arai (carp sashimi) and koi-koku (carp miso soup). Carp is rich in collagen and is said to be a medicinal fish good for beauty and health! I smacked my lips to the carp set meal with side dishes and white rice. I imagined carp to taste unique, but it tasted closer to a light white meat fish. If you go during the cherry blossom season, the cherry trees along the approach are also beautiful.

"Heshiko" is a preserved food that is the specialty of the Kyotango region, made by salting mackerel and then pickling it in rice bran for a long time.
