It was a place that purified my soul, making me want to offer a prayer of gratitude.

This is a hiking trail that covers the distance of one station from JR Ogawara Station to JR Kasagi Station. The one-way 4km course felt like an adventure, as we walked past giant rocks and hiked to the sound of the murmuring river. If you are a train enthusiast, then you will also be in for a treat when you see the occasional trains passing nearby! The air was crisp and clean, too, so it was truly refreshing.

We explored tunnels sprawling like an ant farm along the railroad tracks. It took just under an hour to explore the mysterious tunnels which are often used a filming location. Being there was a delightful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, and it definitely was the perfect place for a mental detox.

Located about 30 minutes on foot from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Takinoo Shrine is an associated shrine of Futarasan Shrine situated deep in the mountains, thickly covered with trees. Just gazing at the serene space filled with sunlight filtering through the tree will surely purify you spiritually. Test your luck by throwing a stone through the small hole in the "Undameshi no (trial of luck) Torii" gate three times, and if it goes through even once, you will have good luck. This is an exciting hidden spot for good luck filled with entertaining elements, including the "Anzan (easy delivery) Kodane stone" and "Enmusubi no Sasa (bamboo leaf for marriage)."

The seasonal baths include rose bath, mint cool bath, wine bath, and yuzu citrus bath, so you can soak in different baths depending on the season! The sauna at Sera Onsen is very hot, so I was drenched in sweat and felt very refreshed.
